Biography

Bradley Putty, MD, is joining Texas Health Care as a Trauma Surgeon at John Peter Smith Hospital, bringing a wealth of experience from his service in the United States Air Force. Dr. Putty served as a Trauma Surgeon at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan and as Deputy Commander Clinical Services (Chief Physician) for Task Force Med-East in Afghanistan. He was also stationed in Germany and South Korea.

Dr. Putty is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He then went on to the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he received his medical degree. He also conducted his residency there, serving as Chief Resident of General Surgery.

Following his three years of active duty military service, Dr. Putty worked at Saint Louis University where, in addition to being on their trauma team, he also taught residents and fellows and was heavily involved in research. Dr. Putty has also continued his service in the Air Force, serving as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Dr. Putty is looking forward to joining the Texas Health Care team at JPS, where he will continue his work in Trauma Surgery and critical care. Both Dr. Putty and his wife are originally from Texas, with a lot of family located in Fort Worth. They are both excited to be back home in the Lone Star State.
